After a period of intense work, we are opening the exhibition which will temporarily close our project. Across the past months, it appears that what we created as our metaphor visually is a fractal: similar ideas and artefacts re-appearing in different shapes, sizes, constellations. Despite the obvious limits it was exciting to re-purpose Mozilla Hubs to use spatial audio, and engage with the design possibilities of purely digital spaces where laws of physics can be bent and reframed. Yesterday night we ended with a hackathon, debugging our virtual exhibition. Doing this together in the group seemed like the best example of how our project went. All sitting together in a room, engaged in a conversation on a common thing, but everyone engaged with their own tasks. Together but independent. Still we may have forgotten some bugs….
